While your regular diet pill may claim to provide the easy solution to trimming down and avoiding obesity, these can be dangerous when taken indiscriminately and without the supervision of a competent medical professional. It is often that we hear of individuals who suffer from diet pill overdose, having taken them without first consulting the doctor for possible effects on existing physical conditions such as an existing heart ailment, diabetes, hypertension or even pregnancy.

Incorporate lots of vegetables, fruits and juices. Avoid that high calorie chocolate cake! This will allow your body to gradually adjust to the type and amount of food that you take, thus avoiding the shock that usually comes with taking those pills and consequently avoiding those dreaded side effects and overdose symptoms.

Combine with exercise regimen and you're good to go. Park your car a few blocks further than usual and give yourself more walking time. When going a mere two or three floors up, take the stairs instead of the elevator. The exact same formula applies for going down the building. Have some serious, rigorous, outdoor playtime with your kids, at least once a week, if not your nephews and nieces. Run, jog and play catch. Allow yourself to sweat it out once in a while.
